The Yoga Journey
Yoga is so much more than a studio class or an activewear category. I would like to help you unveil what YOUR yoga looks like.
I started my asana practice over 20+ years ago, and the ways it has enhanced and transformed my life remains infinite. I have had the gift of learning from many different teachers, practicing within a rich array of healing spaces, and exploring styles like Iyengar, Kundalini, Ashtanga, Yin, Hatha until I chose to formally attain my 200 hour training with Fluid Yoga.
Parallel to my yoga path, I have studied mindfulness and meditation, starting with completing the 8-week Mindfulness program with MGH’s Benson Henry Institute. My Fluid yoga training allowed me to deepen my meditation toolkit with study of Nepalese Buddhist meditation, the study of which is ongoing for me. My training has taught me that meditation and yoga are one, or more precisely, yoga includes meditation, as well as other complimentary practices aimed to better one’s health and overall life experience.
My mission is to share yoga with others in the specific ways it benefits them. I believe wholeheartedly in developing one’s own yoga practice, and cultivating a personal relationship with it for the betterment of your daily life. I believe in practicing often to leave our worries on the mat while building physical and mental strength. I know firsthand how many physical and mental maladies can be prevented and helped by the consistent practice of yoga:
Chronic stress / insomnia
Back pain / body aches
Depression / anxiety
Posture
Mental clarity / equanimity
Yoga’s power is real and infinite. It transforms, improves, clarifies, and optimizes the path of an individual or a collective. It is my privilege to support you in your (or your group’s) journey.
